Sharna Morelli to Retire from Escalent, John Sivak Promoted to Head of IT

Escalent announced today that Sharna Morelli, the firm’s CIO, has decided to retire, and John Sivak has been promoted to senior vice president and will lead the firm’s IT division from the Livonia, MI headquarters.

Morelli originally joined Morpace as a tab programmer in 1979. Over the four decades that followed, she advanced to the highest levels of the organization, becoming its COO and executive vice president in 2015. After the merger of Market Strategies and Morpace in 2018, she assumed the role of CIO to oversee the firm’s IT infrastructure and solutions and unite the technology and data management systems of both companies.

Sivak has worked alongside Morelli for more than 20 years, having originally joined Morpace as a web programmer in 1997. In his new role, Sivak is responsible for managing the company’s growing IT needs, supporting new product development with technology solutions and providing guidance and technical strategy to company leadership. He will also serve as a member of Escalent’s executive committee. Sivak earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Michigan

“Sharna’s contributions to this company are innumerable and her achievements will not be forgotten,” said Melissa Sauter, CEO of Escalent. “We are going to miss her tremendously but are excited for her to start a new chapter in her life. And, we’re equally excited for John to assume the top leadership role in IT. He is a seasoned professional with decades of experience that will be valuable as we continue to leverage technology and software-driven analytics to deliver high-quality, high-value customer engagements.”
