SPH Analytics Selected as ASCA Affinity Partner for OAS CAHPS Survey

SPH Analytics announced today that it had been chosen by the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA) as its Affinity Partner for the Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgery Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (OAS CAHPS®) Survey. ASCA conducted a comprehensive evaluation of survey providers and selected SPH Analytics because of their extensive survey expertise with more than 1100 ASCs and HOPDs and a proven history of success with ASCA members to both measure performance and drive sustainable performance improvement.

“SPH Analytics’ deep expertise in survey administration and advanced analytics will be an extremely valuable resource for ASCA’s members,” said ASCA CEO William Prentice. “We are confident that they will help our members obtain valuable insight into their patients’ experiences and prepare for any future OAS CAHPS requirements. We are so pleased to welcome SPHA to our Affinity Partner program.”

As part of this partnership, ASCA members who select SPH Analytics to conduct the OAS CAHPS Survey will receive special member-only discounted rates that include complete OAS CAHPS Survey administration, submission to CMS, and innovative dashboard analytics.

The OAS CAHPS Survey is designed to measure patient experience with overall care received in Medicare-certified ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and hospital outpatient departments (HOPDs). While currently a voluntary program, the survey is anticipated to become mandated in 2018.* At that time, all CMS-certified ASCs that are required to submit quality data will need to contract with a CMS-approved survey vendor to comply with the ASC Quality Reporting Program. SPH Analytics is a CMS-approved vendor for the OAS CAHPS Survey.

“Earning the opportunity to be ASCA’s OAS CAHPS partner is a testament to the strength of our solutions and the caliber of our relationship with ASCA, which is built on more than a decade of dedicated service to its member ASCs and HOPDs,” said Amy Amick, CEO of SPH Analytics. “We look forward to partnering with ASCA and empowering its members to be fully prepared for anticipated regulatory mandates with our comprehensive OAS CAHPS solution and providing them invaluable patient experience insights, which they can leverage to continually improve how they serve their patients.”
