SPH Analytics Welcomes New Chief Medical Officer

SPH Analytics announced today that Dr. Bill O’Connor is joining the action analytics leader as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. O’Connor’s deep expertise in medicine and HIT will provide leadership to SPHA’s Practice Transformation Network and the product development and client services teams who deliver best-in-class solutions and transformative technologies for provider, payer, and health networks.

Dr. O’Connor brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience to SPHA. He is an industry leader whose experience has focused on operations, strategic planning, consulting, client delivery, and thought leadership. As an orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. O’Connor has significant provider experience, as well as deep commercial experience with notable organizations such as McKesson, Allscripts, Orion Health, and PriceWaterhouse Coopers. Dr. O’Connor specializes in assisting large health systems, academic medical centers, community hospitals, and health plans leverage healthcare information technology and operational improvements to advance their clinical and financial outcomes. Additional experience includes EHR and HIE implementations, “meaningful use” assessment and planning, clinician adoption, analytics, clinical decision support, provider operational analysis, and clinical process redesign.
