First Advantage Expands Leadership Team in Asia Pacific Region with Strategic New Hires

First Advantage, a Symphony Technology Group (STG) company and the leading global provider of background screening analytics and identity solutions, today announced that it is increasing its investments  in the Asia Pacific region and expanded its leadership team with the addition of international business executives, Matthew Glasner and Jay Wang.

As part of the company’s strategy to expedite growth in the APAC region, First Advantage has divided its commercial operations into two divisions: North Asia Pacific and South Asia Pacific. Since the two areas of Asia have significant and unique opportunities for growth, the company appointed a managing director for each region to drive new business and achieve higher overall revenue.

Matthew Glasner was appointed managing director of the South Asia Pacific region to manage team leaders and support First Advantage’s operations in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines and Malaysia. A highly experienced business leader, he brings an extensive background in business-to-business services and sales, particularly around software and technology, to this role. Glasner previously worked for Experian, where he served as the general manager for Experian Marketing Services for Australia and New Zealand.

First Advantage also appointed Jay Wang as managing director of the North Asia Pacific region, responsible for the China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan markets. Wang brings more than a decade of executive experience in the financial and technology industry, as well as expertise in sales, marketing and general management. He started his career at Goldman Sachs in New York and Accenture in Chicago, working in the information technology and operations fields respectively. Most recently, Wang was the general manager of BI Worldwide in Shanghai, where he served as head of the company’s China operations.

“As First Advantage continues to expand our leading global position and deliver our industry-leading screening solutions to our high growth markets, it is essential that we have the right talent in place to guide our strategy,” said Mark Parise, CEO of First Advantage. “I am confident that Matthew and Jay have the expertise to drive our ongoing growth and innovation throughout the Asia Pacific region, and they will play a crucial role in helping us deliver the best solutions and support for our regional and global clients as well as meet our operational goals for 2014 and beyond.”
